Mini Review:

Both DC and Mavel have done a lot of straight to DVD movie over the past few years, and Marvel is expecially guilty of this. It is unfortunat for Marvel since they actually had to close their studio which worked on most of the various Avenger,  Iron Man, Hulk and other animated features. By comparison DC has done less, but they’ve really picked good stories for their films. The first I watched was adaptation of Justice League: New Frontier, then the Green Lantern: First Flight Feature. Say…these movies all have Sub titles, eh?
Anyways New Frontier was neat, but I got the feeling it wasn’t quite the same as the comic, which I haven’t read. Green Latern was surpisingly cool with some top notch animation and a great story for a hero I don’t know much about. Bruce Timm has been producing all these movies, but not always is he directing, and the usually feature the JLAU voice cast is featured in this movie.

Now we have a Batman and Superman crossover, and it is a real fine thing. Read more »

Hey I’ve finally changed my website around with some new themes, and updated wordpress with some new plugins. This is a test of some of the features I can do now, enjoy!

My current workload you ask? Well let me tell you.

Mostly I’ve taken time off the past months for my back, that cursed thing, but I’m starting up animation again.

I’m also working on a 5 page comic submission I’ll talk more about later.

The comic I wanted to do has not been started due to procrastination. HOWEVER I’m working on an independent comic as the inker, helping to finish it off by the end of the summer. It has in turn helped me see what you have to plan out before getting a comic going, and it’s helping me understand how to approach my comic in the future. So while my weekly one is on hold, expect to see it return before the fall!

Well this is what I wanted to announce. I’ve got a plan to practise comic work, so I’ve decided on a short story to work on. It will be arranged roughly as a strip style but will be complied into pages. It’s a story I want to do in order to get better at are and I will be working on a Bi weekly basis. I wanted to post today but I feel I should compile some strips first and work in advance so I can post strips on time. Updates will be Mon Fri, so keep checking back for the debut. I just have some prep to get done first.

I keep thinking that I need to update this site more, and it’s true, but when I think that I have enough activity to warren an update I usually fall short What I can say is that I’ve been having some mild success with some VA work, and that my animation career is some what on hold due to hiring right now, or lack there of. It’s very competitive and for a newcomer like me I don’t think I’ll be finding a lot of work. This does however give me time to work on art and VA experiments. More updates on those as they happen.
That said, I will be making weekly Monday posts from now on. Maybe I’ll just blog, or maybe there will be updates, you’ll see. I want to do this so I have some more weekly goals again. My back has held me back but I’m at the level again where I should be able to manage some daily work. I’m planning a Friday update so look out for that as I have new projects in the  works.

I haven’t posted in a while so I just though I’d update with the facts. Firstly, I’m just watching my health right now. Exercise is important for my back. Secondly, I was working toward some employment animating but I didn’t make the cut. I think there’s only going to be smaller project available for someone like me in these times, so I’ll keep at my animation but I’ll likely be trying to find a better day job and managing art time as well. I had a goal to do 100 comic pages this year and I’d like to get started on that. Looks like I’m going to have to work out my place still, but right now I think cash and a goal for this/next year are needed.
